Cool Kids Wear Chucks.

George Harrison wears Chucks. Automatic street cred.

In these colder months, when thongs just can’t cut it, there is no better shoe for lazy weekend dressing and achieving low-key casual cool than the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star.

This humble canvas sneaker, born in 1917, carved out its home in American pop culture mythology as the trademark shoe of rock n’ roll in the 1940s and 50s.  Since then, All Stars have been the subject of music, art and fashion collaborations and evolved into a style icon.

High-top or low cut, coloured, white or classic black, embellished, patterned or plain, Chucks are now the epitome of vintage cool and the sneaker of choice for celebrity and mere mortal cool kids everywhere.

  1. Can I just say what a relief to uncover someone that really understands what they are talking about on the internet. You definitely know how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More people have to look at this and understand this side of your story. It’s surprising you are not more popular because you certainly have the gift.
